Gift Guide: Bejeweled

jewelry pouchEvery woman loves jewelry.  Every woman especially loves jewelry she receives as a gift.

Above, one of the greatest inventions ever created: a travel jewelry pouch (this version is from J.Crew).  I never knew how essential a travel jewelry pouch was until my friend Jess gifted me a monogrammed version when I was a bridesmaid in her wedding in 2007.  Since then, I have used it constantly; it's nice to travel with your jewelry in a respectable organizer (not plastic sandwich bags).

Because it wouldn't be Christmas without a little F21, next up is a fun bracelet from HCG's favorite cheap chic fashion chain:cuff A word of advice when gifting items purchased at F21: know your audience.  It's most likely acceptable to give your good friends or sister something from F21, but I'd shy away from giving F21 to your grandmom or someone you may want to impress.

Anthropologie, on the other hand, is more socially acceptable than F21 and always a good place to pick up fun jewelry (plus, they'll give you a nice box and tissue paper).  Below, a versatile yet fun pair of studs: peonypostsThese earrings come in gold and silver as well, but I like the pink version the most.

Know someone who loves jewelry?  Get her a jewelry tree! treesUnlike a jewelry box, a jewelry tree allows someone to see all of her jewelry and therefore wear it more often.  My friend Alex gifted me a jewelry tree from The Container Store, and she was impressed when she visited and saw that the tree is completed covered in necklaces, bracelets and fancy headbands.  The trees shown above are from Urban Outfitters (which stocks a really cool variety of all different types of jewelry stands, holders and racks), but the pickings at UO may be slim.  Click here to see UO's current selection.  I'm obsessed with the Filigree Jewelry Hook in gold, but it's sold out.

Only one week left until Christmas!
