Only two days until Christmas and so much left to do - wrapping, baking, cleaning, catching up on MTV's new series "Teen Mom" (a spinoff of the addictive "16 and Pregnant") - the pressure is almost too much to handle. Getting a manicure tops HCG's pre-holiday to do list. Today I was able to sneak out of the office for a manicure (a wonderful perk of working in a city), and I am quite pleased with my color of choice: Chanel Vamp. To many, Vamp is a long forgotten vintage nail color that was the original "must have" Chanel nail polish back when it was released straight off the runway in 1994. While 1994 may not exactly qualify as "vintage" to some people, to those born in 1982, 1994 is practically ancient history.
The color is perfect for winter and festive for the holidays. Chanel calls it a "black red", but HCG thinks it's more like a dark burgundy (think Essie Wicked but a little lighter and with shimmer). It's shiny and clean, and I love it.
Hopefully it won't get messed up while I'm tearing through the insane amount of presents I receive this year.
