Coats to Covet

CoatsHours after the Burberry Fall 2010 show wrapped up three days ago in London, fashion diehards raced to the British design house's site to get their hands on the goods.  For the first time, all of the outwear that appeared in the show was available for pre-order online.  The biggest dilemma for those flush with enough cash to lock down a pre-order?  Which coat to choose. We'd start with the two above.  The aviator jacket is the epitome of cold weather chic and offers the perfect proportion: oversize yet fitted, with an amazing huge shearling collar.  We imagine a jacket like this would elevate our coolness to a level heretofore unknown.

Because we wouldn't stop with just one coat (we never do), we'd have to order the military great coat as well.  The slim sleeves, gold buttons and traditional military green color will never go out of style, and the black shearling panel keeps the look fresh.  The coat can be worn belted, and we'd do anything to see ourselves cinched into it, scooting down Arch Street to work.  Christopher Bailey, why do you torture HCG with your gorgeous pieces?

Pre-order ends today, so get hustlin'!  Tax returns are intended for luxury designer coats, right?
