To celebrate five years of its GO International designer collaborative, Target is re-releasing 34 dresses from 17 previous collections this Sunday, March 13, and we are PUMPED. HCG is a huge fan of the Target designer series, and we post about nearly every new designer release so our posse can get first crack at the goods. Over the past five years I've amassed quite a collection of Target designer duds well in excess of 30 pieces. Other people collect Hermès, I collect Target. My collection started modestly, but I started shopping the Target releases hard only once I realized that many of my Target pieces are my favorite dresses and shirts in my entire wardrobe (no joke). I own the tulle Rodarte dress pictured above (center, $45) in black, and I've worn it to countless cocktail parties and even on Christmas eve. Every time I wear it, people are shocked to learn it's Rodarte for Target.
Every dress is priced less than $50, and there are some adorable ones to choose from. We're hoping to get our hands on the Thakoon tie-waist printed dress (above left, $40) and perhaps the Behnaz Sarafpour silk georgette lace dress (below second from left, $45) and the Thakoon floral print gathered dress (below second from right, $40).
I already own this Tucker floral button-front dress (below center, $35), but I'm interested in seeing the Alice Temperley voile ruffle front dress (below left, $35) in person. Who knows, maybe HCG can increase our personal Target archive by another 10 pieces! We're sure several major fashion magazines will soon contact us to photograph us in our home surrounded by our vast collection.
We are SHOCKED and HORRIFIED that no Liberty of London pieces are included in this re-release. Liberty was our all time favorite Target collaboration, and we bought up every piece we could get our paws on, as did most everyone else we know. WTF Target?
