It happens every winter: the combination of the freezing cold weather outside and the heat inside inevitably leads to dry, tight skin. Woof.
My longtime solution for beating the winter skin blues? Kiehl’s Creme de Corps all-over body moisturizer. Believe me, if your skin gets super dry in the winter like mine does, you need this lotion. I use it religiously as soon as the weather turns cold, and my skin wouldn’t survive the winter months without it (seriously – I would shed skin like a snake). The label promises that “continued use for 10 days will provide a skin texture heretofore unattainable.”
Like all Kiehl’s products, the Creme de Corps is great for people with sensitive skin. Since the lotion is rather thick, it’s best to wait a few minutes after application before getting dressed. I thoroughly moisturize every morning after I shower and let the cocoa butter goodness soak in while I do my hair and makeup.
Feel free to swing by your local Kiehl’s, Neiman Marcus or Nordstrom and request a sample of the Creme de Corps (Kiehl’s is a very sample-friendly line). Give the lotion a try before purchasing to make sure (1) you love it as much as I do; and (2) your skin doesn’t adversely react to it.
Did I mention the bottle (no matter what size) lasts forever? I went all out a few years back and sprung for the $70.00 one liter pump, and it got me through 2 1/2 winters. A little bit of the CDC definitely goes a long way.
Kiehl’s Creme de Corps, $9.00 – $70.00 (cost varies by size) at Kiehl’s, Neiman Marcus or Nordstrom

Love the HCG! I do believe an awesome person gave me some of this lotion as well as the fantastic lip balm! Great tips people… listen to the woman!
I have crazy dry skin myself and want to try this out. Does it have a weird smell or anything?
Lit: Welcome to HCG! I’m glad you like the Kiehl’s goodies :) Please visit often – your stylish input is always welcome!
Kara: No, it definitely does not have a weird smell. The smell is very mild (not even a little bit fragrant), and I would go so far as to say that it’s practically unscented. My skin cannot handle lotions that contain fragrances, and I have absolutely no adverse reaction to this. Definitely get a sample and see how you like it. It has helped my skin immensely!
